Over time the ejection cams in a rotary tablet press will wear. As this happens you may get damaged, broken chipped or cracked tablets. If this is happening then you may need to change your ejection cams.
Before you order new ejection cams for your rotary tablet press we suggest that you inspect your old ones. If they are ready to be replaced there will be obvious signs of wear. Scrapes, scratches or discolouration in the surface can all be signs of your cams being out of tolerance.
On top of this, you will be able to see that when your lower punch reaches the ejection section on the press that it is too low. This can be felt for using your finger. anything more than a tiny dip between the punch face and the die wall may prove a problem.
